Where to begin.

I've been torturing myself this last week attempting to find a suitable topic for my first real post. It hasn't gone well. I've plenty of things to talk about, but I wanted to start out with something really important, something to evoke real thought and contemplation, something to make me sound brilliant. Honestly, its terribly disconcerting having such a plethora of thoughts fly through one's mind while away from the keyboard only to have them drift away like a fart in the wind when its time to put them into words.
Then again, that also brings to mind the real validity of me having a blog in the first place. So many voices in the ether; what's the point of one more? Do I really have anything new or useful to say? Evidently I think so, otherwise this blog wouldn't have started. So I must have some innate connection to some arcane source of knowledge and wisdom to which no others are privy, or I'm just a pretentious ass. Time will tell.
As I have no ability whatsoever to decide what to wax philosophical about, I'll appeal to your judgment (that means you, the poor sap reading this). As I'm already realizing, I really didn't want to start the blog like this, in the mediocre meta-post way. Alas, I'm new at this. Give a guy a break. Of the few ideas I have cage-matching each other in my head a few stand out.
-The nature of knowledge and of being right. The importance of discernment and judgment.
-Human weakness & frailty. The folly of pride & how it destroys relationships.
-Why are things so screwed up? Or are they?
-Eggs. Good or bad?
-How can the mechanical, deterministic understanding of reality through conventional physics coexist with the swirly, probabilistic theory of reality of quantum mechanics, and how can we find room for human freedom and will within that framework?
-Political Correctness & Other BullShit. Gateways to duckspeak and other forms of passive social control.
-Why they want us dumb. American education and the future of our democracy.
-The consolidation of power, wealth, and influence. Why revolutions come again and again.
-The point of no return. Technological power consolidaton. No more revolutions.
-Ron Paul. ....(maybe I better put this higher on the list)
-Why it might be a good idea to become more self-reliant and go live in a cave for a while.
-Why I killed that guy. (a fictional story. Honest!)
-War, what is it good for? Well, that depends on what you consider 'good'.
-The cyclical nature of trends, social preferences, & economics. Why the bullshit will never end.
-The ultimate answer to life, the universe, and everything. (Readers of THGTTG need not read this post)

There you have it, but a few ideas I've been molesting in my brain of late. If you think any of these ideas sound remotely interesting or have something much better in mind, please let me know. I need more practice.
